Our theme for January is Intention. Throughout the month, we will consider what it means to open our hearts to the path that calls us forward. January is the month when we hear much about making resolutions and setting goals. Resolutions and goal setting often reflect a desire to change something about ourselves, to be better, or somehow different. What if we took to heart an affirmation of our own worth and dignity and put some intention into discerning what calls us to act in response to our highest principles? On this Martin Luther King Jr. holiday weekend, we will consider how Dr. King responded with deep intention and commitment to the call to work for equality and justice for all people.
