This will be the second sermon in a series exploring the question  Why do we gather here?

In the first sermon, I focused on the formation of personal beliefs. In this second sermon, I will focus on relationships. Specifically, I will explore what kind of relationships makes a church a sanctuary.

It is no secret that there is a lot of strife and acrimony in the larger society. Nor is it a secret that a lot of people in our society, though immersed in various forms of social media that are supposed to make us all more connected, feel isolated, alone, and without true community. Why is this? What are the signs of genuine community, and how do we sustain healthy and nurturing relationships?
