A tradition in many Unitarian Universalist congregations, including ours, is a ritual to bid farewell to the old year and release what we prefer not to carry with us into the new year. At this halfway point in our church year, we recognize the celebration of the end and beginning of the calendar year.

In silence, you will be invited to commit to flame what you would like to leave behind in order to embrace that which will allow you to live as fully as you would like in 2019.
