Social Justice
Advocacy & Witness
Unitarian Universalists are committed to putting our faith into action. Our UU Principles embody our commitment to social justice: “justice, equity, and compassion in human relations”, “the goal of world community with peace, liberty and justice for all”, and “respect for the interdependent web of all existence of which we are a part.”
UUCH strives to impact our community and world in positive ways that support our principles. We respect the inherent worth and dignity of every person by affirming that black lives matter and standing in favor of immigrant rights and gay marriage. In addition, we support Alabama Arise, an organization that advocates for Alabama’s poorest citizens.
Your ideas and energy are welcome and needed!
